Brief Bio:
In March 2006, Patti adopted Hunny from Northern Virginia Sheltie Rescue. Although she was just 10 months old at the time, Hunny quickly became a great joy to her new family. After days filled with rounding up her fellow house dogs and retrieving balls and frisbees, Hunny is usually found snuggled up at night with Patti’s sons, Will and Andrew.
Hunny is an agile athlete. Leaping through the air to catch balls or MADDogs discs is a breeze for the feisty dog. She completed her basic and advanced obedience training and has earned the AKC's Canine Good Citizen (CGC) award. Hunny has competed in disc dog events across the mid-Atlantic states and performed a few demos for local animal welfare fundraisers.
She’s adapted well to her family’s busy routine, traveling to Celtic festivals (representing her breed’s country of origin, Scotland), Little League baseball games and, of course, flyball tournaments.
Although still a little timid at times, she now understands what all the barking and excitement is about!
