Brief Bio:
In March 2006, Patti adopted Hunny, a 10-month old Shetland Sheepdog, from Northern Virginia Sheltie Rescue. Full of puppy life, Hunny quickly became a great joy to her new family. After days filled with rounding up her fellow house dogs, retrieving tennis balls, and mastering new tricks, she is
usually found snuggled up at night with Patti’s sons, Will and Andrew.
The little Sheltie, weighing in at 17 lbs, may be considered petite by some but make no mistake—this dog is an agile athlete. Leaping through the air to catch balls or MADDogs discs is a breeze for the feisty dog. Extremely intelligent, Hunny completed her basic obedience training in May 2006.
She’s adapted well to her family’s busy routine, having already traveled to Celtic festivals (proudly representing her breed’s country of origin, Scotland), Little League baseball games and, of course, flyball tournaments.
A little timid at first, she now enjoys seeing first-hand what all the barking and excitement is about!
Hunny is currently in flyball training with her junior handler, Will.
Learning together, the pair hope to one day join big sister Ashly (with her dog. Kenny) mom, Patti (with her dog, Macy) and the rest of the 4DN team, out on the racing lanes.
