Brief Bio: Kenny is another example of what great companions rescue dogs can become.
His pedigree is a mystery (maybe schnauzer with border terrier thrown in??).
Regardless, it was love at first sight when team member, Ashly Barrows, saw the scruffy little dog at a suburban Maryland shelter in February 2003.
Little is known about Kenny’s early life. Found wondering the streets in Baltimore, Maryland, the under-fed pup wound up at the city shelter.
Despite the obvious neglect and possible abuse he had suffered, Kenny’s great personality was obvious. Rather than choosing euthanasia when the terrier maxed out his time, the city shelter transferred him to the Animal Welfare League (AWL) in Howard Co. MD. Ashly found Kenny at AWL the very next day, giving the little dog the second chance he needed.
Kenny quickly settled into his new home. He bonded closely with his adoptive family, loves to play with his new toys, and is enjoying learning
to play flyball. Kenny’s favorite pastimes include chasing squirrels in
the backyard; sniffing through the backyard to find more squirrels, and of course, chasing those tennis balls! |
